Two years ago my wife and I suffered a miscarriage, and it was heartbreaking. We took some time to heal, and before trying to conceive again, we starting researching everything we could to have as healthy of a pregnancy as possible. We researched everything from detoxifying the body to hormone optimization.
In our toxic world today it is incredibly important that both mom and dad detox their bodies and eat as clean as possible to give the baby the best environment to thrive. I learned how my health has a huge impact on my future baby’s genes. We supplemented with clean supplements to ensure our bodies had enough micronutrients. We ate a diet high in organic vegetables, clean proteins, and lots of healthy fats and avoided things like alcohol, glyphosate, and sugar.
Throughout the pregnancy we made sure that my wife continued to eat as cleanly as possible and avoid as many toxins as she could (I wouldn’t let her fill up her own car with gas! ) to create the best environment to grow our baby. .
Decreasing stress was a huge part of our pregnancy as well. What happens in the womb can have a lasting and profound effect on the baby. It can shape brain growth, personality, and even brain power.
To ensure that our baby was in growth mode as often as possible we did things like regular chiropractic adjustments and cranial work, avoided as many stressors as possible, and practiced mindfulness and meditation.
We were so blessed by an incredibly easy and healthy pregnancy, and welcomed our perfect boy almost a year ago who is thriving and so smart.
